Wei Zhao is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and an Enrolled Actuary licensed by the Joint Board of the Department of Treasury & Department of Labor. She is only one step away from becoming a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). She is also a Fellow of Conference of Consulting Actuaries (FCA) and a Member of American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

Wei had a BS in Mathematics from Beijing University in China and MA in Biomathematics and MS in Applied Statistics from UCLA. Before starting her own company Wei had worked with the top actuarial companies in the country such as Kwasha Lipton, Watson Wyatt Worldwide, KPMG Peat Marwick LLC, and Chicago Consulting Actuaries.

Wei draws upon her twenty years of experiences in retirement plan design, compliance, valuation and administration to support her clients’ business strategies. Wei has worked with many employers, ranging from fortune 500 companies to single participant sole proprietorship to governmental and non-profit organizations on their retirement plans under the rules and regulations of IRS, FASB, IASB and GSAB.

Wei is known for her passion for creative design that tailors her clients’ needs and business projections. She is one of the very few Chinese speaking credentialed pension actuaries practicing in the fast growing small employer pension market in the US, especially in the San Francisco bay area and the Silicon Valley.
